Construction and Optimization of an Urban Ecological Security Pattern Based on Habitat Quality Assessment and the Minimum Cumulative Resistance Model in Shenzhen City, China

The rapid development of urbanization has caused many ecological issues and greatly threatened the sustainable human society. construction security patterns (ESPs) offers an effective way to balance conservation urbanization. This study aimed take highly urbanized city Shenzhen, China, as a area construct urban ESP put forward suggestions for security. Ecological sources were identified through Habitat Quality module in InVEST model, corridors, strategic nodes, stepping-stone patches extracted based on minimum cumulative resistance (MCR) model. These elements together constituted ESP. In particular, with results continuous decline overall habitat quality, this ten superior mainly distributed rural woodlands, green land, forest park patches. An optimized pattern Shenzhen City one axis, three belts, four zones is proposed, divided into preservation zone, limited key zone. Moreover, forty-five corridors graded levels, presenting spatial axis belts. appropriate widths these suggested be between 30 60 m City. addition, we twenty-five sixteen fracture points, stepping stones improve maintenance corridor network. More generally, demonstrates scientific approach identifying ESPs can serve reference planning function regionalization.
